Have you ever heard of Camphill Village. It's a group of communities that supports those with mental disability through holistic healing. It's not just like a "home" where people are shoved into dusty corners and sent through repetitious days of staring at white walls through sedated eyes. Camphill Village locations make sure that those who stay there live healthy, and active lives. Those who are capable work on farms, in cafes, and in shops selling homemade wares to help support the community. I think this place is great; It creates a home for those who are often left feeling unwanted and degraded by society. A great place in my perspective to volunteer your time.
